Dr Miranda Lai
About
Dr Miranda Lai is a senior lecturer in interpreting and translating studies at RMIT University. Miranda has been a translating and interpreting trainer and educator for 20 years (having delivered training both in Australia and overseas) and is one of the rare academics in her area who has both deep knowledge and experience in vocational training and higher education sectors. Her research interests include police interpreting, public service interpreting, and ethics for translators and interpreters. She has published widely in public service interpreting and its training, and she is the co-author of Ethics for Police Translators and Interpreters (2017).
