NAATI Certification Process: The path to NAATI certification is structured around three fundamental pillars, which vary depending on the specific credential you are seeking:

1. Complete Formal Training and Meet Prerequisite Requirements

Before applying for NAATI certification, you must undergo formal training in interpreting or translation. Additionally, you need to satisfy prerequisites, which include demonstrating proficiency in English, ethical competence, and intercultural competency. These requirements differ based on the credential you are pursuing. 2. Pass a Certification Test with NAATI or Demonstrate Work Practice (for Recognised Practising Credentials)

All NAATI credentials have a three-year validity.
