The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing and All Graduates have collaborated through “Conversations: Interpreting and Translating” to provide training for interpreters and translators through a series of Aged Care webinars in 2021. The series consists of 5 parts and includes collaborations with other Aged Care organisations.

Nina’s current role is with Dementia Australia where she has worked for the past 8 years. She has a diploma in Counselling and Dementia Studies.
Nina has worked in the Dementia field for over 30 years and has extensive knowledge in Community Care and Support as well as Community and Carer Education.

Fatih Karakas is the Trainer and Training & PD Coordinator at All Graduates. He is also a lecturer in the Translating and Interpreting Program at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University where he also completed his Masters in Translation and Interpreting. He teaches both at Vocational and Higher Education levels and has delivered training in other states across the country for RMIT University and AUSIT. He is particularly interested in teaching interpreting skills as well as ethics and professionalism with a focus on providing non-language specific training via online Learning Management Systems. Fatih is also a NAATI certified interpreter and translator (Turkish-English) specialising in legal and healthcare interpreting.
