To become a NAATI Certified Specialist Health Interpreter, candidates must first complete the NAATI Certified Interpreter test in their chosen language. The NAATI Certified Specialist Health Interpreter Knowledge Test assesses candidates’ knowledge of a wide range of medical topics, including anatomy, physiology, and diseases. The NAATI Certified Specialist Health Interpreter Interpreting Test assesses candidates’ ability to interpret in a variety of healthcare settings, such as doctor’s appointments, medical procedures, and patient education sessions.
NAATI Certified Specialist Health Interpreters must also comply with a strict code of ethics and professional standards. They are required to maintain their skills and knowledge through continuous professional development.
